DescriptionThe Suunto Foot Pod is a lightweight, wireless enhancement for your Suunto t6 that enables you to measure and record speed and distance information from your run. The Suunto Training Manager software can then add speed profiles and graphs for post-training analysis. The Foot Pod attaches securely and easily to your shoe with easy-to-use clips without the need to untie and tie your laces. Once the Foot Pod is paired with your Suunto t6 you can set alarms that alert you during your run if you stray outside, either above or below, the speed limits you have set yourself. Running speed and distance are displayed, as well as automatic lap times and lap distances making it an invaluable tool for interval training. Unlike conventional pedometers, Suunto Foot Pod measures each individual stride separately, with two built-in acceleration sensors, ensuring highly accurate speed and distance measurements are displayed throughout your training, even if you vary your stride length. Suunto Foot Pod does not rely on GPS technology and can therefore be used inside on a running machine as well as outside on the track. You don't need to provide information on your average stride length as the Foot Pod measures speed and distance by tracking and recreating the movement of your foot through the air. Due to the simple calibration method the Foot Pod adapts to each person's individual running style with the result that distances are measured with 98% accuracy. The Suunto Foot Pod adds a new layer to the functionality of your wristop computer. By combining speed and distance data with physiological data such as heart rate and oxygen consumption you are provided with a much fuller picture of your training experience and can follow the correlation between speed/distance and your body's performance. The heart rate and speed alarms enable you to monitor and adjust your training, while running, so that it best matches your individual training goals. | ||
